Telescoping excavating device is the main working unit of Hydraulic excavator,and it is an important working unit of military engineer machinery. It can complete a lot of engineering activity, such as excavating fields, obstacle clearance, first-aid repair of road, combat trail construction, leveling, etc. As the domestic study for telescopic digging device is little and basic information is lack, there is no feat method for the design of telescopic digging device. The traditional method cannot meet the developing requirements of telescoping excavating device because it could easily lead to unreasonable design. Therefore, it is needed to search for a kind of new, highly reliable optimization method to optimize the telescopic digging equipment.According to the structure and operating characteristics of the telescopic digging device, kinematic analysis and the established design and calculation models, this paper completes the objective analysis and optimal design for the institution. What's more, this paper compiles new powerful optimum design software for working-device of hydraulic face-shovel with the VB6.0 as development tools. The software realizes the overall optimization for the working-device of hydraulic excavator. It provides the theoretical basis and practical methods for working-device design. Some of this topic research results has been used for engineering equipment in practical application.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1) According to the structure and operating characteristics of the telescopic digging devices, the movement of the telescoping excavating device was analyzed and the model of digging force was established which is established for create a reasonable mathematical optimization model.2) The digging devices were analyzed rationally by using the excavating map overlap method and combining with the practical design and application experience of excavator, which will supply theoretical data for optimization.3) The mathematical model of telescopic mining equipment's working device for optimization has been established. Moreover, the overall optimal design method of telescoping excavating device has been put forward.4) Using genetic algorithm,"The optimum design software for working-device of telescoping excavating device"has been programmed by VB, and the results show that the optimized vehicle's performance has improved significantly. As a result, the optimization method was proved feasibly, moreover, the software is objective and reliable, which can directly serve production.
