Resource is basic for human living and social development. Our country is very rich in total amount of resource but limit in average. Besides that, the high speed development in the past several decades has lead to unbalance of the resource demand and supply more serious. For easing this bad situation, our country has made sustainable development mode as the basic strategy. So the enterprise must improve the resource efficiency and develop new resource while keeping the high speed development.Vapor resource is broadly used as the heat transfer in industry factory and life heating. However, the vapor utilization ratio of our country is far less than the developed country. For the high demand and price of resource, the vapor resource saving is very important and has great potential.This paper introduces the vapor resource utilization situation of our country, the method of saving the resource and potential. It also proposes the solution of improving the process measurement data qualify of the resource network by using data reconciliation technology. This technology constructs model matrix based on quality and energy balance lows, recalculates the measurement data and gives estimates values for the unmeasured data. It can also identify the gross errors in the system and give suitable compensation. By using data reconciliation for the vapor resource network, we can get more accurate data. According to these data, we can analysis and optimize the enterprise resource consumption, make production program, examine the enterprise performance and get more reliable result.This paper introduces the history and development of data reconciliation and the utilization in the industry factory. It also introduces the classic algorithm about this technology. By analyzing and comparing these algorithms, we conclude a universal workflow and develop intelligent software. Now it has been successfully used in vapor resource network of a chemical factory and plays an important role for saving resource and failure instruments detection. It has great utilization filed.
