Topology optimization of acoustic structure has received more and more research attentions in the past years. The researches now are almost on the approaches for the thickness layout optimization, only a few for the ribbed-plane. And most of them are optimizations for the thickness or height of the rib, few for the layout of the rib. In this paper, the thickness and ribbed-plane layout optimization based on Evolutionary Structural Optimization are studied.Evolutionary Structural Optimization (ESO) was a simple concept and easy using method. This paper improves the ESO method based on the features of the acoustic problem, and combines it with the SA method. The acoustic radiation optimization for the ribbed-plane and the thickness layout of a thin plane are solved by this combined method, and the results show it's feasible and effective.As showed in the research, ESO has advantage to deal with the acoustic optimization, and is a valuable research topic.
