As one kind of new electric light source, the high frequency electrodeless discharge lamp has the following advantages:energy saving, long life and environmental protection. Beause of saving energy and reducing environmental pollution, it will play an important part in the future illumination market. According to one enterprise's electrodeless discharge lamp productions, the hardware circuit of the electrodeless lamp high frequency generator has been studied in this paper.Firstly, the power source filter circuit was analyzed in this paper, and the principle of choosing parameter was summarized. Then, the work process of power factor corrective was analyzed detailedly. It has been proven that change frequency control can enhance power factor well, which is based on the research of constant frequency control and change frequency control. The maximum value and the minimum value of each kind of parameter were obtained by deducing the expressions of stable state parameter. The stability of this circuit was confirmed by MATLAB simulation.In order to solve the problem caused by the distortion of pulse transformer waveform, damping coefficient equaling to one was used, reducing the power tube's damage probability. Based on the structure and working model of inverter circuit, the following items were obtained causing power tube failure:First, the power tubes close simultaneously caused by the grid ringing signal. The power tube and the pulse transformer being as near as possible is proposed, which can reduce the distributed inductance and has been confirmed by simulation. Second, the power tubes lack the protective measures, and it is proposed to add one IGBT protection circuit.Finally, In order to enhance the reliability of the electrodelss discharge lamp, protection of the whole circuit and selecting electronic component were used. BP neural network was used to predict the life of the electrodeless discharge lamp which has economy value.
