As a new type of steel-concrete structures, steel tube composite column with steel reinforced concrete(STCC-SRC) has a powerful bearing capacity and favorable tensibility performance, leading to more and more scholars and engineering circle both home and abroad pay attention to it. And STCC-SRC possesses favorable engineering practice foreground.STCC-SRC in this paper evolved and developed on the basis of open-web steel reinforced concrete column and concrete filled steel tube composite column (or kernel column) is a new structural style. Mechanical behavior on axial compression and eccentric compression of STCC-SRC with three different types of angle bars in this paper has been mainly studied by finite element analysis software ANSYS. The analysis and comparion on axial compression and eccentric compression situations of STCC-SRC have been studied by considering ultimate load, load-displacement relationship, load-strain relationship, stress map, concrete crack development and so on. Then the relative error among test value, calculated value of ANSYS and theoretical value has been given. The influence of STCC-SRC bearing capacity with different geometric parameters and the work mechanism of STCC-SRC have been analysed at last. The conclusion given in this paper can be used to know mechanical behavior and work mechanism of STCC-SRC and to supply scientific basis and technical support for engineering design in some degree.
