Axial flow pump has been widely used in various fields of the national economy. It will have an important effect on the development of the national economy and energy saving to improve its research and design level. In order to improve its efficiency and enlarge its working stability, thorough research on the internal flow of the axial flow pump must be done. However, the flow field of axial flow pump is complex and various three-dimensional flows have a large impact on working performance and stability of axial flow pump. In recent years, with the development of the computer technology, CFD developed rapidly, and many commercial computation softwares are applied widely. Through there-dimensional turbulent numerical simulation of axial flow pump inner flow by CFD, the distribution of the velocity, pressure and cavitation in the pump can be obtained, which give a responsible method to design of the impeller and choice of the flow pass. This method has become one of the important ways to improve efficiency of pumps.The hydraulic design of impeller vaporation cycle axial-flow pump, 3D modeling technique, internal 3D uncompressible turbulent flow calculation and experimental research were deeply discussed. The main work and conclusions are listed as follows:①Fundamental theory of hydraulic design of vaporation cycle axial flow pump was elaborated. An axial flow model pump was designed.②The UG software was applied to design the vaporation cycle axial flow pump. The hydraulics professional software Gambit was used to carry on generating unstructured grid of the interior fields.③Control equations of numerical simulation include continuity equation and Reynolds Navier-Stokes equation with standard k ?εturbulent model. The Finite-Volume-Method is utilized for discretization of the control equations. SMIPLE algorithm is applied to pumping system's numerical simulation.④Feasibility and accuracy of 3D method of numerical simulation of the flow in an vaporation cycle axial flow pump has been studied. The comparison of numerical simulation result and model test result indicate that numerical simulation method of hydraulic machinery interior's 3D turbulent flow is feasible and accurate.⑤Optimum design and Performance of recast of a pump system could be dealt with by numerical simulation method. The five kinds of impeller nut wad designed. Numerical simulation of five kinds of programs were done, and the best solution was identified. Numerical simulation of the 90°bending duct of the different Processing Programs was done, the two kinds of process on the pump performance was studied.
