The crankshaft bearing is one of the most important friction pairs and moving parts of the internal combustion engine. In recent years, with the developing of engine technology and the improving of Performance indicators such as power, the design technology of the engine crankshaft bearing is also keeping developing. Modern engine not only require to enhance the life and reliability, a better fuel economy, but also increase the power and decrease the tribology expense and so on. And all of these things mean that, the crankshaft bearing should use the oil with better viscosity-temperature characteristics, and reduce the size but work under the larger load and thinner oil film, so the modern design of crankshaft bearing is more difficult.The crankshaft bearing is trpical sliding bearing of dynamic load, because of the operating feature of engine, the crankshaft bearing always works in the disgusting condition of almost impact load, especially when it works with large load and high speed. To study the lubrication performance of crankshaft bearing, we often use numerical method to solve the Reynolds equation. After studying the research findings home and abroad, this paper make a preliminary research on the influence to crankshaft bearing lubrication of load and speed, then get the method to develop the tribology tester and experiment research.The tribology experiment research of crankshaft bearing is a very important and effective method, however most of the experiment research is temperature influence, the tester used to crankshaft bearing tribology experiment research is uncommon home and abroad. This paper introduce the development of crankshaft bearing tribology tester and finish the scheme and mechanical structures design of tester, which was finished pointed at the disadvantage of the common tester such as low speed, the load not so large, or just can be used for the material tribology assessment. The tester with the advantage of large load and high speed can be used to make the crankshaft bearing working simulation. And the tester is leading in the field of China, at last this paper introduce the load experiment and speed experiment of the crankshaft bearing using the tester, and this prove the feasibility of this tester to establish the base of ensuing research.
