Recent years, with rapid development of power electronics and control technology,technology of frequency control gets quiet great progress, all kinds of converter plants areextensively applied in industry field. High performance, integration, miniaturization, greenwill be the future aim of development of converter plants in long-term. As a new convert,Matrix Converter has good characteristics of the input and output, advanced"pure Silicon"topology, and no large-capacity storage components, small harmonic pollution to electricnetworks. Because MC has many merits, it's becoming the focus of research by manyscholars of different countries.In this paper, we research dual voltage (Line-to-Line Voltage) control strategy and itsrealization of MC(Matrix Converter) systemically and deeply. The design and development ofMC is completed through the combination of computer simulation and experimental testing.We make several substantial progresses such as:1. Make a in-depth research of basic theory and key technology, such as topologicalstructure, control strategy and inversion problem, choose suitable scheme for utility-typeconvert: elect common-collect Bidirectional-Switching, adopt dual voltage synthesis methodas control strategy of MC, use current communication by four steps to solve safecommunication problem.2. Analyze dual voltage control strategy for MC detailedly, deduce calculation method ofswitching state and formulate of duty ratio, and propose a simplified dual-voltage controlstrategy with the help of origin switch and intermediate variables, including establish the newprinciples of the output voltage division, summrize the general expression of the duty cyclefactor, which simplifies the realization of control algorithm.3. Make simulation experiments of MC based on dual voltage control strategy in thebalance and unbalance state, get the simulation results of output line voltage and input current,which prove the good noiseproof feature of the improved control strategy.4. Develop hardware System of Matrix Converter based on Digital Signal Processor ofTMS320LF2407 Series and Complex Programmable Logic Device of EPM7128S both as thecole control device, complete the designs of main circuit, drive circuit, detection circuit,protect circuit, and try to set up experimental prototype.5. Use special C-language for DSP to compile control software of double-voltagesynthesis based on technological process of control strategy, debug hardware device ofconverter, and use development tool of CPLD named MAX+plus II and VHDL-language to compile software based on current communication by four steps, come true the safe currentcommunication for MC.This paper has practical significance for device development and achievement of MC,accumulates a lot experience of hardware design and debug for subject study, and establishesthe important basis for industrialization studies and applies.
