The existing prestressed ConcreteBridges are Precious ProPerty of the soeiety.And they are the keys to transportation safety.However,now there are a large number of bridges which have have insufficient load-bearing capacity because of material older and structure damaged.It has become a world-wide Problem.How to assess these bridges scientifically and reasonably also become a subject that is fllowed with great interest and engeering value.In this paper,firstly factors such as the inferiority of the concrete and steel and the loss of the prestressing have influenced on the durability of the prestressed ConcreteBridges.Through the research in durability of in service prestressed ConcreteBridges,can carry on the assess of durability and prediction of lifespan,can be helpful to the choice of maintain project. The re-search of the bridge lifespan is meaningful for the academic and practice in bridgefield.this paper makes a summary of the predecessors'research product,explores theresearch on lifespan of RC bridge,the actual work done is as follows:1 This paper discoursed that of the research progress,significance,major content and gen-eral methods of concrete bridge lifespan studies is presented in this paper,.and described the bridge structure residual lifespan evaluation methods and assessment of the structure method.2 Analyze the deterioration of the material on the durability of the bridge, the durability of the bridge has a significant impact.on the bridge's lifespan.3 Indetail intordue the concept of structure safety reliability and praetical computation method,and analyzes the characteristics and deficiency of various methods.4 Introduced prestressed concrete structures life prediction of the criteria and methods of use of reliability and protection of bridge carbon layer of random sampling and statistical analysis,in determining the probability distribution and statistical parameters of carbonation on the basis of lifetime prediction, analysis by the pier and the main beam of carbon life, and to steel corrosion cracking life of criteria based on the analysis of their lifetime predicted results are reliable and have a certain utility.
