As a special soil, loess in construction projects is a unique building materials and foundtions,many scholars have been researched the causes of loess, the basic nature of the deformation strength characteristics, structural collapse deformation characteristics and the nature of collapsible areas and have made remarkable achievements, but for saturated loess stress-strain and strength characteristics of rare published.This article has been research in the reference, based on a construction site in Xi'an of Shaanxi loess object, application of GDS static triaxial test system,study on the undisturbed unsaturated loess and remolded saturated saturated loess (pd= 1.65g/cm3) conventional triaxial compression test, and Pure shear stress path test, respectively for different initial conditions and shear path of the test results of the stress-strain (deviator stress-axial strain), deformation characteristics (volume strain-axial strain, radial strain-axial strain, volume strain-deviator stress, shear strain-deviator stress) and strength characteristics (p-q) of the material, and undisturbed soil samples and remolded soil samples were compared with experimental results, the following conclusions:Saturated loess stress-strain relations with the sample path of the initial state and stress are closely related; shear strength has relation with stress path; structural has influence on the strength characteristics of saturated loess, undisturbed and remolded soil samples in the compression characteristics of soil samples consolidation characteristics, strength characteristics of obvious differences; Saturated loess stress-strain curve has obvious nonlinear features, and more saturated as the softening of loess, loess saturated remodeling mostly stable and hardening; the same experimental conditions, the saturated loess reshape the strength of pure shear tests minimum, unsaturated and undisturbed pure shear test to reach the peak intensity of the axial strain is the largest.According to the experimental results of saturated loess remodeling identified Duncan-chang and K-G model parameters and can be applied in the loess area project.
