In recent years, along with national each item of water used demand's enlargement, the home planned to construct with the long distance water distribution project which constructed are being getting more and more. In long distance water distribution project, most common, and the most prominent question is the long distance water distribution pipeline's impingement protection question, harms in a big way is the closure closes the impingement again, namely the cavity destroys the impingement. Impingement's research adding design and the normal operation of water power plants have the very vital significance, the hammer wave propagation velocity are in a water power transition process key parameter, is also one of influencing factors. Therefore, the impingement wave velocity is in the impingement research an indispensable part. The present paper based on the continuum transient theory already the research results which obtains, mainly analyzes the influences over water-hammer wave velocity to broken-water-hammer in long-distance water delivery project of pumping stations.1. Summary impingement wave velocity research results as well as theory inferential reasoning formula development process.2. Discuss the influencing factors of impingement wave velocity, and gives some common kinds of tubing impingement wave velocity scope in long distance water supply project. According to the real condition of long-distance water supply projects, analyses common influencing factors of water-hammer wave velocity in water distribution pipeline.3. Based on the foundation summarizes of the predecessors, we briefly describe the method of characteristics which is widely used in hydraulic transient's analysis. According to the characteristic curve equation's finite difference equation, and unifies the basic mathematical model which each kind of boundary condition establishment impingement calculates, using the machine language establishment impingement protection computation of the long-distance water delivery project.4. Take Algerian pump-power water distribution project, San wan water distribution project, and Kang ping power plant (first-level pipeline) water distribution project as the example, respectively carries on the hydraulic transient calculation of the long-distance pump-power water delivery project. According to "large diameter, low friction", we make use of the above project example to carry on the hydraulic transient calculation under different water-hammer wave velocity. Through the computed results, contrastive analysis the influences that different impingement wave velocity influences have on the hydraulic transient procession in water distribution pipeline. In the computation, through factor change impingement wave velocities and so on change tubing, tube wall thickness, realizes under the same operating mode the different impingement wave velocity contrast computation and the analysis.The research of present paper have the profound project practical significance in optimizing the impingement protective measure of the pump-power water distribution project, and provide the reference value for further study the question of impingement wave velocity in the industry pipeline's water power transition question, and also proposed the new task in next step research, that is, analyzes the influences over water-hammer wave velocity to broken-water-hammer in long-distance mass-flow water delivery project.
