This research is supported by National Natural Science Foundation of the "new high-performance transmission parts and system reliability design theory and method"(Authorized Number: 50735008). To conquer disadvantages of harmonic gear reducer and RV reducer so as to satisfy the requirements of the reducers in space environments such as high accuracy, high reliability, large torque, low power loss, small volume, light weigh and so on, a solid-lubricated filtering driving mechanism with high precision was invented by professor Wang Jiaxu and other people working at the state key lab of mechanical transmission of chongqing university. Owing to the fact that the filtering reducer built-in the above-said mechanism is in the stage of being researched home and abroad, it is important to carry out its reliability. Centralized on the reliability, some researches are conducted in this thesis. Firstly, an introduction is given about the filtering reducer, a new type of high-performance driving part, including the structure, the transmission principle and functional implementation of the reducer. Meanwhile, the associated basic theories of reliability are given for the reducer study. Then, the reliability models are separately presented for critical transmission parts of the filter reducer, that is the dual-gear, the eccentric shaft, and the bearing. Based on the models, the reliabilities of these parts are studied. Following this, the fault analysis for the critical parts is made and further the fault tree for the filtering reducer is established. Using the fault tree, the weak link and the main influence factors of the reducer are found and analyzed, respectively. Finally, an experiment of the filter reducer reliability by equipments available is carried out in order to validate conclusions about the weak link of the reducer, and some methods improving the design of the weak link are proposed.
