In the engineering structure's reinforcement project,it's sometimes necessary to strengthen the reinforced concrete column because of it's shorting of vertical load capacity. When the application of augmented section method is adopted,for ensuring the new added section can be used completely,the length of strengthed section upstairs always have to be extended.This article is mainly about by using the application of augmented section metheod in the joint area,to form effective binding in the former joint area,to prove the vertical load capacity of the joint region of the original concrete part.In the case of cancellation of overlapping floor,by strengthening the joint constraint,to make the next part of the newly added section directly involved in the bearing the load.In the Finite element analysis software-ANSYS,the necessary analysis models were eslablished ,the mechanism of the binding force in the joint area and the mechanism of transfering down the force were found out.Through verifing the feasibility of the reinforcement,some reference can be provided for the strengthening works.Through the following steps,the reinforced concrete models were established and then the analysis was maked:â‘ The bearing capacity pressure of a non-reinforced concrete column has been analysed,the calculated values and the values coming from the code for design of concrete structeres has been compared.It shows that the ultimate capacity of columns with the ANSYS analysis is feasible.â‘¡A larger section of the concrete column has been analysed.However, the more effectiv forms of discipline has not been taken.The ultimate bearing capacity was compared with the local pressure bearing capacity calculations coming from the code for design of concrete structeres.â‘¢Nine reinforced concrete columns in the joint region bound of which to take more effective form of increased concrete column section method have been analysed,compared with the previous value,to obtain the using of the theory of confined concrete for increasing the load capacities of concrete column is feasible.â‘£By analyzing the different constraints in the joint region to take the form of increasing the column section method,the specific impact on the different bound form can be obtained.The above conclusion were based on the analysis of 12 modes established in ANSYS,demonstrated by the concept of confined concrete columns to increase the vertical bearing capacity is entirely feasible,also obtained in the confined concrete column joint region.Constraint region height and width of the binding effect of the impact of a major,the stirrup also have an important impact on the binding effect.Further research topics for the future to provide the necessary theoretical support.
