With the constant expansion of industrial field, the traditional distributed control system can not meet the needs of industrial control for the continuous improvement requirements of industrial control systems to intelligent, networking, real-time and reliability. But the DeviceNet provides a new solution to industrial control system for its openness, low cost, high efficiency and high reliability.Firstly, according to requirements of overall protection, communication, control, fault diagnosis of communication motor protector, the DeviceNet uses the 16-bit microprocessor Dspic30F6012 of the Microchip company as the main processor for the protection, and uses the DN1022 chip for the hardware development of slave node of the motor protector on the basis of analyzing the DeviceNet message transmission, arbitration mechanism, communication style, connectivity and data trigger techniques.Second, on the basis of analyzing the functions of communication motor protector and according to the DeviceNet protocol, the object model was established, and the functions were simulated by different objects. On this basis, the application layer programs of DeviceNet field were written including the CAN controller chip initialization, duplication MAC ID detection, pre-defined master-slave connection, sending and receiving the messages. Finally, the device description, the EDS files programming and the register on the DNetStart network configuration software were completed. The communication function of the motor protector node was proved by using the CANalyst-II network analyzer to analyze the packet data. The communication motor protector based on DeviceNet Bus developed by the subject makes the traditional protection have the whole functions of protection, DeviceNet communication, fault diagnosis and remote monitoring management as one, and provides a feasibility example for the intelligent electrical device class network.
