With the soaring of electrization and the increasing consumption of electricity, the power quality (PQ) has become so complicated that solving the related issues requires to monitor and to record correctly on PQ in the steady-state parameters in the power distribution system to identify and to analyze the collected data in the transient state disturbance.Focusing on working personnel of the administrative department of electric power, this paper designs a portable power quality monitor with steady, transient power quality parameters, combining the two of high integration of ARM and DSP chips as the core. The hardware is based on DSP for a special data collection, unit processing; for stationary signal, it chooses window interpolation analysis for the Fourier transform; for transient disturbance, it chooses different wavelet precise analysis of the amplitude, frequency, and record its accurate starting and termination moments of the disturbance signal; also based on the ARM, except monitoring data processing, it designs other units, which in charge of the whole monitor, mainly realizes the display, keyboard, and data transfer function of human-computer interaction.For the design of the software, this paper introduces the writing of the function modules of subroutines in DSP and ARM, including one part programming algorithm adopts the advanced language and assembly language as far as possible to improve the executable code.Finally, this paper uses the data analysis and other methods to simulate in Matlab and CCS, through the second chapter of the theoretical analysis and the results through fifth chapter of the simulation verify the correctness and effectiveness of the algorithm.
