Concrete is quasi-brittle and heterogeneity composite material, because of self-property of low tensile-strength and toughness, concrete members usually work with cracking in practical engineering,then those with larger cracking mostly appear leakage, reinforcement corrosion, it is serious that existence of cracking decreases the strength of member and shortens the life span of building.For improving properties of related concrete members, high performance fiber reinforced composite concrete (HPFRCC) has been put forward. In recent years,the material has developed rapidly and has been used widely in most aspects,such as the water-proof engineering of dam,road surface reparation,etc,up to now it has got remarkable achievement.The study on characteristics of multi-fractures cracking and strain-hardening of HPFRCC not only shows a significant function for understanding crack appearance and stress-strain relationship of the material itself, but also plays an important guiding role in studying the structure and setting up scientific structural design method. So as to further understand properties of HPFRCC, establish the tension-bending model and discuss the HPFRCC structure design method according the stress-strain relationship, this paper mainly gives a comprehensive analysis from the following aspects:1. The mechanical properties and strengthening mechanism of HPFRCC are reviewed, and the effects of crack-resistance and toughening that characteristics of multi-fractures cracking and strain-hardening of HPFRCC have on structural members have been recommended.2. Based on strain-hardening characteristic of HPFRCC and model of classical analysis of fiber reinforced concrete (FRC), the mechanical model of HPFRCC is gained, then as for corresponding stress-strain relationship, the solving formula of load-bearing capacity of HPFRCC has been got, and the curve regarding to the relationship of load-bearing capacity and parameters has been drawn.3. Through studying the design principle of reinforced concrete and steel fiber reinforced concrete and the mechanical model of HPFRCC, the formulas of load-bearing capacity of R-HPFRCC including at the state of serviceability and the ultimate state have been established respectively.4. By the finite element analysis software to simulate the loading process of FRC and R-HPFRCC and compare qualitatively the distribution of fracture, the conclusion that HPFRCC have excellent functions of crack-resistance and toughening is proposed.In conclusion, the author summarizes all the contents and takes simple analysis about the problem existing when researching on HPFRCC.
