The effect of the nano-TiO2 on reducing NO emission and increasing the denitrification rate of CFB boiler is studied in this paper. According to the different operating conditions in the experiments, the effect of the nano-TiO2 on NO transformation rate in the NO reduction reaction by coal char is analyzed. the NO transformation rate can reach up to 42.8%, and the reduction reaction is a pseudo-first order reaction; the activation energy with and without additive is separately calculated through the unreacted shrinking core model, and it is proved that the addition of nano-TiO2 has catalysis to the reaction. The numerical simulation of the furnace is conducted about some power plant's CFB boiler, using power plant's coal and experimental coal separately; the simulation of the NO emission is proceeded. The simulation results are coincident with the experiments: after the nano-TiO2 addition, NO mass percentage drops by 0.64% and 0.66% separately, It shows that the addition of nano-TiO2 can improve the removal effect of the boiler's feul-type nitrogen oxides in CFB boiler. Through experiments and simulation, a reference basis is provided for denitrification of CFB boiler.
