The flow and heat transfer in stratified liquid film falling down an inclined non-uniform heated plate are described by the N-S equations and the reasonable boundary conditions, and the corresponding mathematical models are established. Then the governing equations and their boundary conditions of the small perturbation are derived. And the equations are solved by the perturbation method, and the effects of different factors on the stability of the film are discussed using numerical simulation. On the other hand, the internal wave in stratified liquid film down an inclined plate are deduced and non-dimensionized, the dimensionless evolution equation and its boundary conditions are solved by using perturbation method and a nonlinear evolution equation for the internal wave is yielded. Solving the nonlinear evolution equation, a solution related to progressive wave is obtained. As special cases, the stability of flow and heat transfer in the constant density film falling down an inclined non-uniform heated plate and the stability of flow and heat transfer in the saturated nitrogen liquid film falling along the slope are researched.
