Wangshi garden is be honoured as the best of small gardens in suzhou.Although it occupies only 4720 square meters,the visitors feels much larger than it covers when they are in the garden.this article is based on analysing the landscape gardening of "more in little".i Charged the reasons of such landscape gardening to the following categories:"contrasting of space","transition of space","circles of space","dummy of space","view borrowing"and"poetic imagery".the first four part is focused on current situation and analyses much in physical layer,view borrowing is based on collation of ancient material.it returns the backgroud on the ancient wangshi garden and gives a comprehensive analysis of the environment at that time. poetic imagery Is sublimated into cultural stratum and i make an analyse on spirit sympathy.each part of this article follows the thoughts of "description of phenomenan"to"summing up the rules",the most important thing is to get the regular pattern of "more in little",and apply it into modern landscape design.
