In recent years, the highway tunnel construction has entered a period of great development accompany the rapid development of highway, the increasing construction of shallow tunnels around the city require the high technology construction.This article use plane strain plastic and three-dimensional plastic model and the finite element method to study the surrounding rock and support mechanical behaviors change process basis on the process of tunnel construction which use numerical simulations.theory and methods, We Achieved good results applied these theory and methods to practical engineering.This article use plane strain plastic and three-dimensional plastic model which Combine Shenzhen Longda highway tunnels actual projects to Simulation the step method, and analysis the deformation of tunnel support structure and wall rock, Finally we concluded that its appropriated for use step method to build shallow tunnel road construction, This conclusion acceptable by design unit.The results of the analysis is similar of the actual situation by compare the variation of tunnel stress, displacement field and plastic region in construction to the design calculations.By the above conclusions we can better to monitor and guide construction site and verification the rationality of the data.
