Auto-body inner packaging is an important and complex design process in designing automobile, the implementation methods and evaluation index of which are fuzzy, multi-solution and empirical, and the traditional computer aided design method could not be suitable to the process mentioned above. Intelligent decision support system is the integration of artificial intelligence and decision support system, meanwhile, the structured and semi-structured problems can be solved effectively by the combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis. According to the characteristics of auto-body inner packaging, intelligent decision support system is introduced in the design of auto-body inner packaging to improve the design efficiency.Firstly, the general frame and system functions of decision support system of auto-body inner packaging based on knowledge were presented in this thesis by the summation of ways and the analysis of contents of auto-body inner packaging. Secondly, the organization and management methods of data-base, model-base and method-base of auto-body inner packaging system were established by knowledge-expression model based on object-oriented method, and the memory structure was designed with relational database. Thirdly, according to the original project design of auto-body inner packaging applied with productive rules, the object-oriented rules as well as data structure were established, at the same time, the memory structure of rules-base was also designed with relational database. Finally, on the basis of fuzzy judging methods, the comprehensive judgment project of auto-body inner packaging was realized by establishing factors and judgments of auto-body inner packaging.Based on the above research, the decision support system of auto-body inner packaging based on knowledge was set up with Microsoft Visual C++6.0 as the programming language, Access 2003 as database system and UG NX4.0 as CAD support platform. The applications indicate that there was an appropriate disposal project by the system mentioned in this thesis with feasibility and practicality.
