Well point dewatering is an importantmeasure of the foundation pit dewatering. It can overcome shifting sand, steady pit slope, decrease water level of confined water, prevent bottom heave and accelerate consolidation of soil. So, foundation pit engineering, which is under the natural groundwater level, is operated in amuch drying construction environment better. The scheme of well point dewateringmainly relates to two problems that are the proper selection ofmethods and scientific configuration of quantities. In practice, the selection of dewateringmethods is comparatively simple, but the configuration of dewatering quantities is not optimization designed rarely.For the above problems, this paper describes the foundation pit dewatering'smethod and basic theory firstly. Using the formula of steady well flow,making well numbers be design variables, establishing objective function and corresponding constraint condition with deep foundation pit's total water inflow that isminimum and employing linear programmingmethod to optimizing design deep foundation pit precipitation well cluster so as to reduce the influence to themin degree that deep foundation pit precipitation well cluster causes to its surrounding environment. Using Visual C++to compile program and provide an optimal interface, the optimization design scheme is obtained by supplying parameters, which include optimal well numbers, well spacing, each well's water yield and foundation pit's total water inflow. After that, using optimal program to design a practical engineering and analyze influence that these parameters affect to finally water inflow and well numbers, and the optimization design scheme is determined.Based on the theory of groundwater seepage, using numerical method to do calculation study of groundwater level's dynamic prediction, adopting optimization design scheme, employing huge three-dimensional seepage finite element software SEEP3D to do a three-dimensional seepage finite element simulation for above engineering, and the results are obtained by the comparative analysis between three-dimensional seepage finite calculation based on the practical engineering and optimalmodel's rationality and practicality.
