Sulfate erosion damage is considered to be one of the major factors that cause the failure of concrete. Sulfate erosion is also one of the most complicated factors and the greatest danger of environmental water erosion. China has a vast territory, in the salt soils of inland areas in western like Qinghai, Xinjiang, Gansu and eastern of Shandong, Hebei, coastal salt soil along the coastal areas, large amounts of sulfate which is strong erosive was contained in the soil. In the Western railway, highway and water conservancy projects, underground water which contains sulfate was also be found. The waste water released by various types of petrochemicals, iron and steel metallurgy plant also contains a lot of sulfate ion. The soil, groundwater, seawater and industrial waste water within the sulfate ions penetrate into the concrete and react with hydration products lead to swelling, cracking, spalling and other phenomena, which makes the strength and viscosity of concrete reduced and even lost. Concrete mingled with fly ash, slag and silica fume and other admixtures are thought to effectively improve the anti-sulfate durability of concrete. Therefore, it has a strong scientific and practical significance of studying the concrete with admixture for anti-sulfate corrosion performance. In this article, based on the statistics which come from vary types and concentrations of sulfate in different regions, learned from similar testing programs in the past, the testing program about anti-sulfate corrosion performance of concrete with admixtures is designed. In the test, the appearance of change, mass loss, changes in porosity and compressive strength decreases are selected as the evaluate index, and micro electron microscope-scanning on some test blocks is also carried on. This article focuses on the influence of different types and amount of admixtures on the anti-sulfate corrosion of concrete with admixtures. The anti-sulfate differences of concrete with admixtures in the different environments of sulfate solution and in different sulfate test methods are compared respectively.Through testing and analyzing to determine the optimal blend of the admixture quantity and water-cement ratio of concrete, and explore the impact laws to anti-sulfate corrosion of admixture which has a different type and contenty.
