With the development of information technology, the digitized design technology such as 3D CAD,CAE,CAM is used widely in pump industry. But the present pump design and manufacturing mode still bases on the traditional 2D engineering plat, it seriously restricted 3D CAD and other advanced technology popular application. Although most enterprises have purchased the 3D CAD software, but don't obtained enough benefit. The enterprise urgent need to find a kind of product design and manufacturing pattern which adapts with the digitized technology.Pump is a typical fluid conveying machine, it is widely applied in agricultural, the city, the power plant construction and so on.The most major characteristic of pump designs is the overflow surface design, the traditional design mode has the curved surface description difficulty, the expression unclear, ambiguity and mistake and other problems.3D CAD can effectively solve the surface design of the flow passage components; The CFD technology may solve the hydraulic analysis; The FEA technology carries on the intensity and stiffness structure analysis. This article takes the mixed-flow pump as the object of study, elaborates a design pattern based on the digitized product design. Main research works is declared below:1,Based on a great deal of literature reading and material inquiry, analysis the development history and the relationship of product design pattern and the design tools; It discusses the actuality, development trend and challenge of the pump industry; Through enterprise's actual investigation and study, large-scale pump product characteristic, design flow as well as current design mode existence disadvantages.2,This paper proposes the mixed-flow pump's modular design based on design library, discusses the modular design'realizing way and enabling technology. Using design library technology to build the enterprise module library. Using configuration design to set up the module assembly platform.3,Based on analyzing the pump'structural characteristics, this paper summarizes a set of more complete structural strength analysis and vibration analysis solution. Carries on the structural strength analysis to the essential components, introduces the application skills of the finite element method; Carries on the analysis to the rotor system vibration characteristic, provides the theoretical basis for the pump vibration performance and the motor selection.4,This article expounds a design mode based on the product optimization, contains the structure and the parameter size optimization. In the structure optimization, using trend tracker and alternatives analysis to seek best structure scheme; Using alternatives analysis and design space optimizing to find the best parameter size; forms the design mode which one structure and parameter optimization. Summarizes the basic idea and working mode of the product optimization design.
