This paper, starting from the actual operational needs, combined with advanced methods of project management, choose the best way for the Qinghai-Tibet Railway A3 maintenance components procurement from the project, planning, scheduling and resource management to project supervision and control, until the end and evaluation of projects, which should make full use of project management methods and principles. The effective management methods have completed the project with successes and ensured the first time A3 maintenance of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway train since it opened.
