This paper, based on a lot of relevant references about trasportation in special railway of iron and steel enterprise, combined with my three-year's practical experience in the railway transport sector of iron and steel enterprises, and my professional basis of transportation major, carefully makes a research on the theories and methods of compressing detention time of wagon in special railway of iron and steel enterprise。This paper first proposes a comprehensive system of rail-specific definition of iron and steel enterprises and carefully analyses the steel industry-specific functions and features of the railway transport. It brings forth the conception of detention time of wagon in special railway of iron and steel enterprise and vividly describes the relationships between detention time of wagon in special railway of iron and steel enterprise and detention time of wagon, and turn-round time of wagon. In order to fully and rationally analyses the relevant factors that influence detention time of wagon in special railway of iron and steel enterprise, this paper first analyzes the external factors of the system and then divides the time into two phases (the first phase and the second phase)that the wagon stays in special railway of iron and steel enterprise, analyses the factors from two aspects of equipment and facilities, technical organization and management, respectively. After finding out the various influence factors, this paper at last proposes solutions and measures to the affecting factors that extend detention time of the special railway of iron and steel enterprise.meanwhile the projects of transfer train operation in the first phase was made a detailed study,first two methods which definiting the number of transfer train operation was proposed, and then given the general metheod which formulating the the projects of transfer train operation,Finally optimization model of the projects of transfer train operation was given when professional station with only one transfer machines for the actinoid private station,and deriveding the optimization method. - selectionsort,meanwhie validating the method use a example.as for the project about placing-in and taking-out of wagons in the second phase,based on proposing the concept of branch access priority, improving and perfecting the traditonal ratio method then validating the effectiveness of the method.
