With the span of cable-stayed bridge increased, the height of the bridge tower became higher and higher. While the bridge tower is a flexible structure, its lateral load induced by the wind. The increasing trend of the bridge tower is bound to increase the role of wind load strength. Buffeting response of bare tower state has become a major engineering problem.In this thesis, take the tower of AnQing Yangtze River Railway Bridge as a case study, the work is about its bare tower state of the time-domain buffeting analysis. The main job is written in the following areas:1. The introduction of the study of buffeting response of bridge and the basic concept of high-rise structure.2. The details of the basic characteristics of the wind and some concepts of the buffeting calculations involved. And introduction of the wind effects on high-rise structures.3. Based on the formulation of WAWS, combined with the characteristics of high-rise structure, simulated the three-dimensional fluctuating wind field of the cable-stayed bridge tower, the buffeting force time-domain processing is completed.4. The calculation of tower's drag coefficient under various wind direction with the use of CFD numerical wind tunnel simulation technology.5. The spatial finite element modal is established by using the general purpose finite element software ANSYS, then calculated the buffeting response of the tower.6. The work is summarized, some conclusions about the study are drawn, and the further research problems are indicated.
