Introducing wind power into a micro-grid with multiple power sources, which is connected to the grid, could reduce the adverse effects by controlling the total power steady. With research focus on DC micro-grid which is not so hot and directly-driven permanent magnet wind power generators (DDPMG) to go with it, it aimed at analyzing the operation and control strategy of DDPMG integrated into DC micro-grid, together with the coordination work of the battery.Here presented a typical scheme and energy management principles for DC micro-grid, analyzed interface circuits and control strategies of different micro-sources and storage units, established complete and detailed model of DDPMG system and its control system. Simulations of DDPMG and battery were finished in Matlab Simulink, the former including the maximum wind tracking and rated power outputting process with wind speed below or above its rated value, the latter on the balance task of the power surplus or deficiency during off-grid mode of DC micro-grid. All the desired control objectives were achieved, thus validating the correctness and rationality of the developed models and control strategies.
