| The speed governing system of the generation unit with capacity less than 200MW in China usually adopts the mechanical hydraulic pressure to control the speed. It cannot meet the demand of the coordination control system (CCS) of generation units and the automatic generation control (AGC) of the power grid. Furthermore, the control system has the drawbacks of the joint dead-bands, poor control quality and inability of realizing valve management. It endangers the generation unit and the power grid severely, and causes a great deal of inconveniences to the end-users. Therefore innovation on the mechanical hydraulic pressure type speed governing system is urgent. Advanced digital electrical hydraulic pressure system (DEH) is flexible to various control strategies and able to meet the demand of the modern steam turbine control system. It also meets the demand of the power plant in system security and reliability. This paper will analyze the innovation schemes found within China and abroad, and applied the DEH for a 200MW generation unit considering the actual operation conditions of the speed governing system. |
