In this study, based on the chemical composition of 30Cr2MoV Steamer rotor steel, it is put forward that use the admixture of nitric acid and acetic acid to corrode the Steamer rotor steel. The text gained the relationship between width of etch groove on the grain boundary and FATT50, and discussed other parameters. Then the predict model of FATT50 was established by making multiple linear regression analysis on all relevant parameters by using MINITAB. Used this model to calculate the FATT50 of all steel samples, the result show that the errors between prediction value and measure value is in the range of±15℃. So it is possible to forecast the temper embritilement extent of turbine rotor by using chemical corrosion method and the admixture of nitric acid and acetic acid is one perfect etch liquid.
