With the wind turbines'capacity and flexible increasing, it is important for us to solve the questions that how to make the wind turbine operation better above the rate rotation speed and reduce the wind turbine load. At present, the individual pitch control is one of solutions to fix up those questions.To make the wind turbine can be more stable operation than before and reduce the wind turbine load on operation, , the individual pitch control based fuzzy PI control is put forward in this paper by combining with the theories about the wind turbine and the technologies of pitch control on aboard and domestic.This paper will introduce the individual pitch control based on the fuzzy PI control with two aspects. For the one hand, the paper will illustrate the design method of the individual pith control. It is a fresh point than before on this domain, because the reason that blade load controller to control strategy is added. Simultaneously, the control object should be synthetic controlled by three controllers-allotment controller, pitch controller and blade load controller. That is to say, we get the final pitch angle after processing the pitch angles from those controllers. For another hand, the paper should test the validity of the individual pitch control based on fuzzy PI control via the simulation model built by the Matlab and Bladed software and analysis on the simulation model. At the end, based on the analysis, the simulation results are obtained in this paper. The results indicate that the control method based on fuzzy PI proposed in this paper is suit for the individual pitch control. This controller has good disturbance resistant property and can reduce the load of the wind turbine.
