It is the developing direction in the future for the large commercial buildings to adopt natural ventilation and natural lighting which can effectively reduce energy consumption. Generally, there are the poor natural ventilations in the existing commercial buildings and the quality of air quality is awful. And there is nearly no any other lighting method besides the artificial lighting for the illumination in these buildings and this kind of lighting wastes energy so much.Firstly this article elaborates the principles of natural ventilation and lighting in the architectures and analyses the energy-saving technologies adopted in the ventilation and lighting based on the real examples of some public architectures. And then it concludes the energy-saving technologies which are suitable to the architectures in the region where it is hot in summer and cold in winter. And at last it proposes the idea that the architectural design of the commercial buildings need to be connected with the energy-saving technology efficiently and organically. It would provide further reference to the design in the construction of sustainable development architectures.The main energy-saving design methods fit to the hot-summer-and-cold-winter region include:the "breathing" double-skin glass facade, A shaped atrium, solar chimneys and light pipe systems.It comes up with a reconstructive scheme which adopts both "chimney" and "light pipe" to use the natural ventilation and natural lighting more effectively, and, based on the original model, it provides a new design schemes which adopts not only "chimney" and ""light pipe" but also "double skin" and "atrium". Using DeST-c software the article operates the computer simulations of the two different schemes and compares the outcomes of the simulation analysis to provide the rational data for the energy-saving programs.Using DeST-c software the article operates the computer simulations of the transformation program and a new design, then it analyses the outcomes to provide the rational data for the transformation program.
