People are paying more attention to Engine energy saving and emission reduction technology under situation of energy-saving and emission reduction. As its core technique, electric control technology has been adopted widespread in the world. With the improvement of the function and complicacy of the ECU, it is more diffcult to empolder gradually. And the traditionary bench test has been replaced by the modern computer-aided control system technology. HIL is a key link to improve the empolder efficiency in the modern ECU empolder flow. In this environment, this study designed a new HIL test system based on DSP, this offered a platform for development of Engine ECUTo build ECU hardware-in-the-loop simulation platform, the first step is to build a real-time engine simulation model. This study build a engine model in Boost based on some test data, and simulated and verified the model with the test date to ensure its veracity. Then calculated the date under various conditions of the engine with the model, then use the date to build engine body model in Simulink and build its subordinate model with experience formula. The real time simulation model was built in Simulink finally.The traditionary DSP applying system design flow consists of Design and Realization. They are carried out under different entironment separately.To improve the efficiency of DSP development, this study used System-Level Design.The key of the System-Level Design methods is to do the two parts of design flow in one uniform development environment to hang them together effectively. This method does the DSP System-Level Design with Real-time workshop embedded coder and target for TI C2000 in Matlab. It converts the engine model builded in Simulink to DSP-enabled C code and engineering document, and compile the document with the CCS. After that it automatic downloads the document to DSP target board to simulate the running of the engine. A newly developed ECU can control the electronic engine model to test the functionality of ECU. This can reduce the'empolder cost and shorten the product design cycle and occupy the market earlier.
