This mainly includes two parts :introduced the basic theory of Lattice Boltzmann method (LB method for short), The practical application of Lattice Boltzmann method in engineering analog .As a numerical method in computational fluid mechanics, the research and applications of LBM in China is not as further as some other countries currently. This method's born parallel property attracted lots of scientist from various fields and countries to study it further. at the same time, this method is a challenge to traditional numerical method and dives a flash to people's thought. Maybe it can show a new method to solve some of the problems bolcked in the traditional numerical simulation.First the basic characteristics of some common CFD softwares,Background,development current situation of lattice Boltzmann method are introduced, the Lattice Boltzmann method of various mathematical models and relationship between lattice Boltzmann Equation and macroscopic Navier-Stokes equations are present systematically,and introduce some common boundary conditions are discussed,and detailed introduce no equilibrium state extrapolation method,which is used in this text.For the practical application part.First,simple simulate 2-D lid driven cavity and flow around a cylinder,obtain flow field characteristics in different Reynolds numbers, and result accordant with literature cite.With the simulation in flow around a square cylinder,respectively discuss square pillar in center,calculated lift and drag coefficient,analyze the influence of Reynolds numbers to reflow area of behind of square pillar,simulate eddy fall out phenomenon.Finally, use this method try to simulate the two sides column flow field,obtain flow field characteristics and leak rate in different gap width.it is feasible to simulate flow field around the issue with Lattice Boltzmann method and the results are reliable. Therefore, the results of this research can be used as the reference in practical application.
