In the mechanical system, the rotor as an important part, its unbalance is the result of equipment noises, vibration, especially in a high-speed rotating machinery. The accident caused by Rotor unbalance take up about 60% of mechanical accident. Two of abnormal Balancing methods are balancing on the balancing machine and field balancing. With the development of technology, field balancing instrument gained widespread application because of its portability, low cost, easy operation and other advantages.This paper describes in detail the sources and the representation of unbalance, mechanical rotor balance theory and classifies unbalanced rotor. By researching Dynamic Balance technology, a complete dynamic balancing algorithm is obtained. A field Dynamic Balancing instrument with features of low cost, low power consumption, portability, easy operation is developed. In consideration of this field balancing instrument having not only multi-purpose, high precision and other technical requirements, but also beautiful appearance, low cost, low power consumption, portability, easy operation and etc. MSP430F149 microcontroller is selected as the main chip, the types of vibration measurement sensor, reference signal measurement sensor, keyboard, LCD, power chip is selected, and the hardware circuit of the system is designed.In this paper, the signal processing method of the field balancing is analyzed. Taking into account the instability of the rotor speed, the limitation of the microcontroller computing speed and storage capacity, an narrow-band-pass adaptive center frequency digital filter that has the merits of simple algorithm, little storage space is developed. The acquisition signal is processed by digital filter. Compared commonly several digital filters with switched-capacitor filter used in Field dynamic balancing equipment,the most suitable filter, IIR Butterworth filter, for microcontroller is obtained, the entire filter is designed and a phase compensation filter is used to achieve a zero phase shift filter, the narrow-band-pass zero-phase digital filter is simulated by using the software of Matlab. Thinking of the characteristics of dynamic balance in job site, the plan of the software of the field balancing system is proposed. The program of the system setting, vibration signal acquisition, vibration signal digital signal processing, speed measurement, single dynamic balancing and double sdynamic balancing is mainly designed. A field dynamic balancing instrument is developed.Finally, the experimental research of the developed field dynamic balancing system is done, the single-sided balancing module, double-sided dynamic balancing test module is respectively measured. Keyboard interrupts, Based on MSP430F149 microcontroller developed LCD display, signal sampling and analog-digital conversion software is measured, ensure the software system meets the balancing test system performance requirements.
