With the development of CFRD technology, the height of CFRD is more and more higher, and the size of the project is more and more greater, which has become a basic development trend of modern CFRD. In CFRD construction process, the time is long of dealing with the dam foundation and dam filling, it's impossible to filling the dam to flood retention elevation before the flood season. So it's an options can be choised of flood prevention programs with cofferdam and overflow dam. For the use of overflow CFRD to prevention flood,it's importance to analysis the seepage and stress reasonable and accurate for project designin and construction in flood and working period.In the beginning of this paper, dissert the prevent flood standard,the way of flow-guiding and how to choose in construction period. Discussed the general procedure of flood prevention with overflow dam with the project example. Based on the comparative analysis of calculation principle's similarity between seepage filed and temperature field, the feasibility of CFRD seepage field analysis with generic software ADINA module is demonstrated. Based on the nonlinear Dengken E-B constitutive material model, Through combination setting of the element birth and death, time function and time step in ADINA were used to simulate construction course of CFRD compaction in layers, overflow in flood period and dam filling after flood period. The paper reach the coupling mechanism between rockfill seepage and stress field, establish nonlinear coupling mathematical model for seepage and stress field coupling analysis through establish function relationship between permeability and porosity. In the end, based on above research production, combined HUANGshitan CFRD.Obtain seepage and stress distribution and diversification rules though 2D finite element analysis calculation in the case of considering their coupling influence or not.The model and method obtained in the paper explore the calculation method of seepage, stress field and coupling analysis of seepage field and stress field. The research results have very important reference and application value to the similar projects.
