High-rise structure is a kind of very important special structures,it's largely used in various industrial facilities, especially in the wide-used broadcast tower frames, communication signal transsition towers,chimneys and other industrial applications etc.With the development of science and technology, the design and application of high-rise structures are become more and more remarkable and used rising constantly in all areas. One of the important loads of high rise structures is wind load,which will lead to the slender high-rise structures produce high-frequency vibrations and large deformation, Thereby its serviceability and stability will be affected seriously. So, it becomes necessary to intensive study the force characteristics of such structures in the flow field.Based on the fluid-solid coupling theory, this thesis mainly researches the stream-surface interaction problem of high-rise structure in the wind field. Firstly, a simplest chimney of cylindrical section under the wind loads is simulated, using the CFD method to numerical simulates wind flow the model of chimney. On the basis of the mentioned work,the interactions between air and chimney are analysed involving fluid-solid coupling. Applicating a more commonly SST k-ωturbulence model of large-scale finite element software ANSYS/CFX, the fluid-solid coupling effects of a actual large thermal power plant chimney in diffrent dimensions are numerically simulated. Building the rigid model and the elastic model is based on the coupling effect, through the analysis of numerical simulation, the wind speed, air pressure and the image distribution in the wind vector field of rigid mode in the flow field and the time curve of the elastic model's displacement and the pressure are obtained. Finally, the structure force characteristics and the general law in the coupling effect of flow field reveal the coupling mechanism of tower structure under the wind load. It provides a new approach for analysis and design of variable force under wind load to the high-rise structures.
