Abstract/Summary:
The trraditional theory of seismic design was established in the early 20th century, it has rapid development based on seismic experience of projects in one century. But with the understanding become deeply on seismic performance and dynamic features, a new definition of occasional earthquake is bring forward to form a four level seismic fortification criterion in China seismic design code.Traditional seismic design theory and theory of performance based seismic design are stated and compared, and the questions and shortages are presented in first chapter. In second chapter (analysis method of performance based seismic response), the application of pushover analysis method was discussed in emphsis, based on numbers of test results collected from RC strctures and members tests at home and abroad, a new quantified indicators was eatablished for structure in temporarily operational and reparably operational under earthquake. At the end of the paper, a finite element method SAP2000 program was used to analyze the reinforced concrete structure with 7-layer, it can be shown through the calculate result that the new earthquake resistant goal can satisfy temporarily operational and reparably operational.The validity and applicability can be referred for further research and engineering application.
