Research Of Mutual Identification Between Architectural Art And Sculptural Art

Sculpture is a kind of space modelling art, if compared to drawing,music,literature and other forms of art; it is more closely related to architecture. Architectural arts and sculptural arts share common development and influence each other in certain ways, and these are also the significant components of the development history of arts. There are certain rules of similarity among their representations and internal logics, but sometimes, it also can be very hard to find an exact explanation for their relationships.Actually, the artistry of architecture is usually represented as sculpturization of architecture; and the functionality of sculpture often appears as architecturization of sculpture. These phenomena become the entry point of studying the mutual identity between architectural arts and sculptural arts in this dissertation.This article will focus on the following discussion topics:the relationship between the creation of architectural arts and sculptural arts; the combination of architectural and sculptural works; different levels of identity transfer between an architect and a sculptor and so on. Colliding of artistic and logical thinking during my analysis will bring us to a more capacious space.Through the analysis of integration and development of architectural arts and sculptural arts, we can have better understanding of the relationship between sculpture and architecture. When architecture is getting closer to purely modelling arts, it will generate an enterprising spirit for the development. My analyses will provide us with great angels to interpret those architectures such as the building of CCTV and Dubai Frame, which have won international contest, also those reputable architectures that have strong sense of sculpture. To consider about the art itself, we believe in extraordinary power to exceed, also appreciate its peculiar new thinking. And it's art to impel people to challenge the imprison of one's mind.The discussion of this dissertation is actually reflecting the evolution of modern architecture in a broader perspect. This article has also tried to search the foundations and possible ways for more future cooperations. Distinguished architects are not just concerned about design and modelling, but always bring out creative thoughts, which are exactly what we need. From this point of view, there will be many interesting issues that worth to be discussed later on.
