Study On Capacity Assessment Method For Existing Highway Bridges

In the past two decades, the road transport has developed rapidly domestic.A large number of highway bridges have been completed and played an important supporting role in the road transport. However, insufficient capacity of existing bridges, disease, aging and other damage has been a global problem. Rely on technological progress, it is critical to ensure safety and reliability on the scientific assessment of the reliability of existing bridge. Focusing on the main content-Load Test of reliability assessment of existing bridges, considering the performance characteristics of structural defects, and attention the relevance between the technical condition and capacity of the existing bridge structure, the thesis has carried on the work of capacity prediction.Through the project example, "The bridge capacity predicting mothod basing on the results of the bridge inspection " has been applied. Contrasting the mothod, the special load testing method has been described.The thesis has the following works specifically:1. First, the general disease of the old reinforced concrete bridge were summarized,and the mechanism of disease were analyzed.On this base, appropriate quantifing the the state of the bridge structure technology,Introducing calculation coefficient,reduction factor, deterioration factor and live load reduction factor to the expression of structural resistance, "The bridge capacity predicting mothod basing on the results of the bridge inspection "was established. Corresponding, the thesis introduced the procedures of a specification method carrying assessment to bridge throuth the field loading tests.2. With the engineering background of reliability assessment to a simply supported concrete T beam bridge, two methods were applied to evaluating the bridge existing capacity. It shows that "The bridge capacity predicting mothod basing on the results of the bridge inspection "has many advantages.In certain engineering errors and conditions,the method can replace or compensate for the lack of the method of bridge on-site load test.3. Applying "The bridge capacity predicting mothod basing on the results of the bridge inspection "to the capacity assessment on a curved arch bridge further, the feasibility, reliability, universality of the method was demonstrated.
