With the development of economy, traffic problems have became one of the most important issues that concerned by countries all over the world. Traffic simulation technology is an important method to resolve this problem. Using traffic simulation models, traffic flow, traffic congestion, traffic accidents and other traffic phenomena can be simulated dynamically and realistically, characteristics of vehicles, drivers, pedestrians, roads and traffic flow could be analyzed deeply, and the researches of traffic planning, traffic management and control, conservation of traffic energy and other aspects will be carried out effectively.This paper firstly starts with the traffic models of microscopic traffic simulation system, the advantages and deficiencies of cellular automata model in the application of traffic simulation are analyzed based on studies of the development and current situation of microscopic traffic simulation, and the determination process of vehicle velocity and acceleration in the model is improved in order to make the description of actual traffic conditions better. Section model and intersection model are established based on cellular automata model, and fuzzy control theory is introduced into the model, using the characteristics of fuzzy control which could describe the decision-making process of drivers, combining cellular automata model, the vehicle model of this paper is established.On this base, car-following model, lane-changing model, and car-creating model are analyzed and established, timing control and fuzzy control method are used in intersection signal control model, and the operation situation of two intersections is simulated. By the analysis and research on the model of microscopic traffic simulation system, the general framework of simulation system is designed, the function and role of each module are described, and the implementation process of each module is designed.Finally, the microscopic traffic simulation system of this paper is implemented by using object-oriented programming technology, and displayed by computer graphics interface, the traffic parameters of intersection are collected. The states of vehicles and traffic signal accurately reflecte the conditions of real traffic environment in the simulation process, and verified the validity of the simulation method in this paper.
