ABSTRACT:With crisis of global energy and intensification of environmental pollution, countries in the world are actively searching for sustainable and new energy. Wind power stands out from the development and utilization of new energy because of its many advantages. The doubly-fed wind power generator has become the main model of the large-scale wind turbines because of its small size, light weight, small capacity required for inverter and high quality of the power supply in the high wind power area. The doubly-fed wind power generator transforms the wind energy absorbed by the blades to electric power after its speed is rising by the gear-box. The converter connects the electric power with the grid after the frequency conversion and filter. So the core technology of the wind power is the converter, its efficiency and reliability will directly affect the performance and investment of the system. The difference on the analysis of the doubly-fed wind power generator between this paper and others is that it analyzes the steady-state of the generator on the base of its equivalent circuit. And it gives the design of the converter. The paper avoids the complexity when we need to give the generator mathematical modeling and the vector transformation. At first, the paper proposes the work principle and operation conditions of the generator. Then it analyzes the steady-state on the base of its equivalent circuit and uses MATLAB to simulate the steady-state analysis. At last, it designs the converter from four parts, such as the main circuit, the auxiliary circuit & control circuit, the structure and the software. We also test the converter under the exiting conditions and verify the correctness of theoretical analysis and design from the data we get from the experiment.
