By the temperature,lightning strike and internal overvoltage,insulation of power equipment becomes aged,which leads to partial discharge.In statistics,most insulation accidences are related to partial discharge.So it is effective to judge the operating condition of power equipment by implementing on-line partial discharge monitoring.In this paper,broadband power-line communication is pointed out for monitoring system,then energy flow and information flow can be used simultaneously.That is to say,the problems caused by other methods can be solved.The entire system consists of three parts,including data aequisition unit,broadband power-line communication unit and information processing unit.Fisrtly,partial discharge datas are converted from analog signals to digital signals through A/D converter;secondly,the digital signals we just obtained will be modulated and coupled to the power line network by broadband power-line communication unit;thirdly,modulating signals will be transmitted to the designated receiver;finally,modulating signals will be separated by demodulation,and are transferred to information processing unit.
