With the improvements of economy, people's living standards and the technology of automobile industry in China, there have been increasingly greater requirements for the automobile safety. To achieve greater safety, the signal lamps can help the driver to send correct and timely running signals and to have a good visual range while driving at night. The constant-current LED driver circuit is the hotpoint in the application of present auto lamps while a constant-current LED driver is the prerequisite of the whole auto LED lighting system. As the LED driver's output depends on its characteristics and the driver chips, this thesis analyzes the light-emitting mechanism and puts forward a design of high-bright LED driver circuit to meet the auto's requirements for electronic application.Based on the current development of LED, this thesis introduces the characteristics of LED lighting and the LED optical parameters and chooses LED for experiment. By summarizing the typical circuits of illuminating driver circuits and integrated circuits, an auto turn light based on chip MAX16823and Boost Circuit is designed. Also, an auto LED constant-current driver circuit is presented in detail, which adopts the common integrated chip. Although the structure of the circuit is simple, it has such strengths as stable shining frequency, constant-current output, high-accuracy, quick dynamic response, small ripple, low noise, and LED open detection. The circuit can be used in auto high-bright LED lighting system.By analazing the the simulation pulse and data of driver circuit, the designed driver circuit can realize constant-current output. The accuracy of current is limited within±0.3% and the stable shining frequency is 80 times per minute. The circuit's performance is good and its price is low, compared with other circuits. The simulation of the whole circuit indicates that this circuit has achieved the desired functions and research target.
