| This paper makes research on the basic structure, main computational model and numerical method of the KIVA-3V program. The author adds some new code to the basic KIVA-3V program and makes compilation of it. Based the modified program, the numerical simulation on the combustion process and emission characteristic of the CA6DL1-30 turbocharged diesel engine is carried out.The effect of different injection methods including the single injection method, pilot injection method and double-polar combustion method on the combustion process and emission characteristic of the diesel engine are mainly researched. The results are as follows:1. The curve of the pressure in the cylinder and the distribution of the temperature and NOx with the single injection method, and the emission characteristic of NOx with different advance angles or different loads are obtained.2. The curve of the pressure in the cylinder and the distribution of the temperature and NOx with the pilot injection method are obtained. Also, the pilot injection timing is optimized to get an optimum advance angle of the pilot injection, which leads to the least NOx emission.3. The curve of the pressure in the cylinder and the distribution of the temperature and NOx with the double-polar injection method are obtained. Also, the injection timing of the double-polar injection method is optimized to get an optimum advance angle, which leads to the least NOx emission.Through the investigation of this paper, some instructional methods to optimize the injection method of the CA6DL1-30 turbocharged diesel engine are obtained. |
