Energy-saving and new energy development has been widespread concern and become a hot research at home and abroad. Energy-saving lighting is being put on the agenda of China, China has formulated the "China Green Lighting Program," but the main energy is still in the development of electric light sources, the energy-saving device in the terminal also has a number of studies in the country and not yet reached the practical level, the foreign technology is relatively mature, there are a large number of products exist, it is the terminal energy-efficient lighting research, especially sine-wave energy-saving dimmers have a broader significance. As the rapid development of semiconductor technology, power electronics, micro-control technology, and microprocessor technology, using sine wave dimmers controlled AC voltage to achieve energy-efficient by high-speed DSP is possible. This technology has a significant social meaning, and therefore received a lot of corporate interest and attention, so it was one of the directions for studying energy-saving topics. This issue is a business pre-exploratory research topic.This issue is mainly on the road lighting energy-saving control system. At night, there are a few pedestrians and vehicles on the road, adjusted the voltage of lamp to reduce the brightness of light. As well as the load characteristics for different modulation modes of different issues.In this paper, AC/AC-BUCK voltage regulation circuit was used in dimming system, the principle of the AC/AC-BUCK AC voltage regulation circuit was analyzed; the mathematical model of AC chopper voltage circuit was established, and the expression of output voltage in different chopper frequencies was studied; analyzed a variety of AC/AC-BUCK circuit topologies, opted for a structure symmetrical circuit as the main circuit of the sine wave dimmer. The effects of different modulation modes in different load characteristics, the output voltage and current situation was discussed, proposed a non-complementary modulation mode with current sense; then applied the classical PI control theory we established the AC/AC-BUCK in MATLAB model, and simulated the system. The sine wave dimmer was build for experimental verification. The results prove that with the current detection of non-complementary modulation mode to adapt to the load capacity is relatively strong, to achieve dimming of the metal halogen light energy.Through the study of this topic, making a number of lamps like as metal halide, high pressure sodium lamp, gas discharge lamp can use sine wave dimmer, thus road lighting energy-saving was possible, it has far-reaching significance development of energy-saving technologies.
