Electric power as a most widely used and most convenient secondary energy, has become the indispensable condition for the development of today's society. With the high development of economic and society, people's demand for energy is also continually on the increase. Wind power, as a renewable resource, has got more and more attention. Wind power is the fastest growing, most commercial, most economic renewable resource.There is a certain lag in wind turbine control system and yaw body itself, the impeller can not accurately aligned toward the wind direction when the wind direction and wind speed changes frequently. The following tracking failures will affect the efficiency of wind turbines. And the frequent move of the yaw gear may cause life shortening. Moreover, the controller can not set parameter easily, and also can not facilitate the real-time monitoring of turbine operation status. So it has got far-reaching significance in research and resolve these issues.In order to solve the problem, this paper puts forward a new controller based on optimized Kalman filter yaw control algorithm, which predict the wind vector and optimize the result based on the feature that wind direction changes periodically within a certain range. The system put in this paper can both track the wind direction accurately, maintaining the rotation speed of the vane wheel, and also reduce the movement frequency and amplitude of the yaw gear. The simulation result demonstrated the obviously improvement of the performance of the yaw control system.The paper designed the hardware system based on S3C2440AL processor for the intelligent yaw control system, as well as the communication part and system software based on embedded Windows CE. Finally the paper gave out the operation interface of the system, enabling the system to facilitate the conduct of parameter settings and status mornitoring.
