In recent years, Pipelines crossing are used a lot in water supply in city, the pipe are playing more and more important role. Since the majority of pipes are buried in the riverbed, the usual maintenance and repairs are not convenient, and there will be a lot of lost when repair such as river resistance. Therefore, the study of mechanical properties of riverpipes is very important. The eddy behind the pipe form forces which are downstream direction and transverse direction. For the sake of studying the properties of Vortex-induced force, the numerical simulation model is established using Fluent. On the basis of experimental data, the correctness of simulation result of SST k-ωmodel is verified. Using SST k-ωmodel the phenomenon of river flow around the pipe is simulated. The influence of gap ratio is studied. By spectral analysis, the gap ratio affects on frequency of vortex-induced force is discussed.Considering environment of pipeline, the numerical simulation model of pipe is established using ABAQUS. The influences of constraint, gap ratio, span length affect on vibration frequency are analyzed. The major factor for the pipe natural frequencies is summed up.The Vortex-induced vibration is a very complicit phenomenon needing to consider the interaction between pipe and river. Using the numerical models, The influences of constraint condition, gap ratio, span length affect on limited span are discussed.
