This paper has summarized the improvement of project application and research situation of geogrid-reinforced and pile-supported composite foundation, generalized the mechanism of action,theoretical calculation methods and design methods. And its behavior is studied by model text under cyclic loading.It has studied the settlement characteristics of the geogrid-reinforced and pile-supported foundation under cyclic loading of rectangular. and obtained a empirical formula to estimate the settlement of composite foundation under follow-up cyclic loading of rectangular. By analyzing the effects that peak load,cycle on the settlement, the stress ratio of the pile to the soil, pile axial force, the tension of geogrid of the geogrid-reinforced and pile-supported foundation, it is indicated the variation rule of the settlement, the stress ratio of the pile to the soil , pile axial force, the tension of geogrid with the variation of these parameters.It has studied the settlement characteristics of the geogrid-reinforced and pile-supported foundation under cyclic loading of triangle. and obtained a empirical formula to estimate the settlement of composite foundation under follow-up cyclic loading of triangle. By analyzing the effects that cushion thickness,the size of pile cap ,pile spacing, geogrid layers , the stiffness ratio of the pile to the soil on the settlement , the stress ratio of the pile to the soil , pile axial force, the tension of geogrid of the geogrid-reinforced and pile-supported foundation, it is indicated the variation rule of the settlement , the stress ratio of the pile to the soil , pile axial force, the tension of geogrid with the variation of these parameters.
