With the more restriction of the noise requirements of the motorcycle day by day, it becomes obliged. The major problem of the noise in motorcycle has been highlighted in domestic at present. It is a very important premise to identify the noise.The production's principle and the recognition's methods of the noise in motorcycle has been deeply researched in this article and the key research has been done in acoustic intensity and the acoustical holography testing method. By the two unions, an acoustic intensity method based on the optimized acoustical holography has been proposed. It has been proved that this method has surpassed the above two in the error control aspect.An experiment firstly has been carried to the 150 type motorcycle in order to confirm the accuracy of the method in the AVL measurement of power machine, for simulating the actual state of roads. Anther experiment then has been carried to this motorcycle based on the optimized acoustical holography acoustic intensity. The acoustic intensity cloud chart has been draw by the careful analysis to its each frequency band. Through the relevance, the isopiestics and so on outstanding feature, the accurate recognition noise source has been analyzed for the noise source's contribution. Contrast the two methods, we draw the conclusion that the second one is accurate in the noise recognition.By analysis the noises of the motorcycle are made up of the engine vibration noise. The engine vibration noise and the exhaust roar are primary in low speeding. The primary cause is that the engine drives the torque to the chassis heavily. Along with speed increasing, the noise distribution also changes. The take and exhaust roar becomes bigger and bigger. The reason is that the gas causes and the gas impacts motorcycle chassis. It also has the greatly relations with the simplex four stroke engine's cam shaft.the concrete method and the suggestion how to reduce the motorcycle noise has been brought up in this article. After the adopts, the reduction effect of the noise has been obtained.
